Apa Kabar SMP Negri Rasuan OKU Timur ?

Rasuan State Middle Schoolwas established in 1985 located at Jalan Simpang Kepuh, Rasuan Village. This was based on the fact that at that time there was not yet a state high school to accommodate students from several villages in the Buay Madang 1 Ogan Komering Ulu sub-district. In previous years, usually parents were forced to bring their children who graduated from elementary school to move to the city to continue their junior high school education. 

SMP Negeri 01 Rasuan is its current name. I don't know how many times it has changed its name. It used to be called Simpang Kepuh State Middle School, and has accommodated students from several villages, namely: Rasuan, Mengulak, Kartamulya, Betung, Gunung Terang, Mendayun, Sakoti, Mahyakin, Gunung Jati, Harjomulyo etc. While the supporting teacher council, brought in from the city of Palembang and other areas. 

With a Land Area of: 15,020 m2, at that time, the school building was facilitated by several classrooms, Principal's Room, Administration Room, Teacher's Room, Medical Room, Laboratory Room, Library Room, Toilet Room, Prayer Room, Small Hall, Principal's House , School Guard House, Parking Lot and wide field etc

Development Now

Since its establishment in 1985 with the first alumni in 1988, it means that tens of thousands of students have been educated there. Perhaps because it is far from a big city, Rasuan Negri Middle School has not been able to compete with other secondary schools, both in terms of quality, curriculum which often changes, teaching staff and other educational support facilities. 

The school building which used to be the color of cream mixed with brown, decorated with neatly arranged beautiful green plants, is now starting to get weathered, dull and brittle. The damage ranges from leaking ceilings, broken tile floors, peeling wall paint, library books, laboratory rooms that are no longer in use, to other supporting infrastructure, which invites the government to care about the continuity of this school's progress.

He is now 34 years old. An age that begins to mature in determining the direction of life's journey. The progress of a school does not only have to be determined by the luxury of a building, complete facilities, etc., but there are other things that bridge it, namely there is a sense of caring for building, a sense of belonging, discipline from the teaching staff, parents and students. A good school because the discipline is also good.
